Living in Saratoga Springs, Utah – What’s it Like?

Alright, let’s look at Saratoga Springs, Utah and we’ll start in the neighborhood surrounding the Church of Jesus Christ Temple there. However you feel about said church, the buildings are beautiful and the property values around them always jump when they get built 🙂

Saratoga Springs is the 3rd fastest growing city in Utah – and that’s fast. Fully half of the homes on the market here are new-builds, to give you an idea of the demand. The explosion of growth here also means that the overwhelming majority of homes already built were built very recently, so the neighborhoods look very nice. It’s a very pleasant, walkable city.

There was very little of anything in Saratoga Springs until it was incorporated as a town, and then a city, and it’s been growing rapidly since the early 2000’s – which means there may not be much here as of yet in terms of amenities and shopping centers, but there are a few, and it won’t be a long drive to the neighboring cities of Lehi or Draper to get anything else you want.

Schools in Saratoga Springs are good, getting a “B” grade from one site and a grade of commendable” from the other site I check. The biggest challenge is certainly the amount of growth in the area, much like Eagle Mountain, as both cities are new with as-yet-growing education programs. They’re incorporated into already existing school districts, they’re just dealing with large classrooms.
